Cam Walsh
Physiotherapist (Musculoskeletal)

Cam has been involved in healthcare from an early age, with family working in the industry fuelling an interest in helping others. New Plymouth born and bred, Cam completed his Physiotherapy degree through Otago University in 2007. After lengthy stints fine-tuning his trade in Wellington and Sydney, the bright lights and good coffee of Taranaki eventually lured him and his family to settle back home in 2021.

Specialising in acute injury rehabilitation, Cam works with a wide variety of conditions. He takes a bio-mechanical, whole-body approach to assessment (translation: everything’s connected) which ensures that the treatment targets both the source of pain and the underlying causes to prevent recurrence. Although exercise prescription/progression is a priority, Cam incorporates manual, hands-on techniques in his treatments, including dry needling.

Cam's own run-ins with injury and recovery shaped an attraction to Sports Physiotherapy which remains his passion. He has worked in a huge range of sports over the years, from the Weekend Warrior to International level professional sports teams and athletes. Whether you’re chasing Olympic gold or just chasing your kids around the backyard, Cam endeavours to help keep you moving.
